Hi, I'm Sibi
Sibi Manivannan · Founder, Gramiyaa
Gramiyaa didn’t start with a big plan. It started with a visit to a refinery.
I was sourcing oil for my restaurant, expecting the usual. Instead, I saw how far the process had moved from what I grew up with. Chemically processed and artificially flavoured to make it look and taste like the real thing.
It took me back to my grandfather’s oil mill. I had grown up around mills and presses. I knew oil could be made differently.
And this memory sparked a mission.
Where It Began
Shri Ram Rice, Oil & Flour Mill · Sengatupatti · 1992 · Father (left), Mother (middle), Grandfather (right)
Long before Gramiyaa, this was our world. A small village mill run by family. Here, we pressed rice, oil and flour for the neighbourhood.
Sengatupatti, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District.
Familiar Hands
Inside Shri Ram Mill · 1990s · Senthil (right)
They ran the mill through the 90s, keeping the craft alive. Real seeds and nuts pressed with patience. No chemicals. No preservatives. Just real oil, cold pressed slowly and full of flavour. Years later, those same hands stood beside us again, helping set up the first Gramiyaa mill in 2016.
Early Years

An earlier chapter in our family’s story. Family paddy fields in Thuraiyur Taluk. Some chapters naturally give way to the next.
Still Done Right
Gramiyaa Mill · Established 2016-2017
The setting changed. The standards didn’t. Today, we press our oils in-house, combining generations of experience with modern precision. Only the finest seeds and nuts go into every batch. No shortcuts. No additives. Just real cooking oil, made by skilled hands.
Today
Gramiyaa Mill & Team · Today
Everything we’ve learned over the years comes together here. We’re still hands-on. Still involved. Still responsible for everything we make.
